What is the benefit of having a tablet?
Drivers earn advertising revenue from advertisers, they are able to keep their riders more engaged as they are able to control music, and allow riders to seamlessly tip through the tablet.
How much can I expect to earn?
On average, our data shows that in May 2023 drivers who gave 60 rides with ads per week earned an extra $25 per month from tablet advertising earnings. Drivers also earned on average $75 in tips per month directly from their tablet and 13% more tips overall than drivers who don’t have a tablet.
When do I receive my earnings?
Advertising earnings are available weekly and are automatically added to your earnings reports. Tips are available within 24 hours of riders initiating the tip via the tablet.
Tablet Security
How can I secure the tablet?
The tablet comes equipped with a security cable and key to provide an added layer of protection. Nevertheless, we strongly advise never leaving the tablet unattended in your vehicle to further safeguard against potential theft. One way to facilitate this is to establish a routine of removing the tablet after your rides and reattaching it before you commence giving rides. Lastly, please remember to plug the tablet back into the charger to maintain its readiness for continuous use.
Who do I notify if the tablet has been stolen?
In the unfortunate event that the tablet gets stolen, we kindly request that you inform us within 24 hours by texting us at (415) 366-9416. Your prompt communication is appreciated and will aid us in taking necessary follow-up action.
How can I ensure the safety of my tablet and car?
We recommend using the security cable to safeguard your tablet. We also recommend removing your tablet and safely putting it in your glovebox when you are done driving.

Tablet Use
Can I get more than one tablet?
Lyft’s policy permits one tablet per driver. We appreciate your understanding of this policy as we continue to strive to meet your needs.
Do drivers have to pay anything at sign up?
No, drivers don’t pay anything at sign up. However, there is a one-time $5 rental fee that is deducted from your first earnings . Don’t worry, it’s only a one-time fee.
What is the eligibility for the program?
You must be driving in the following markets : Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, D.C., San Francisco, Phoenix, Miami, Austin, Las Vegas and average more than 45 rides/week
Does the tablet work for anything other than ads?
No, the tablet is equipped with specific software that allows you to display ads and pairs with your car’s Bluetooth speakers.
My car doesn’t have Bluetooth! Will this still work?
Yes, it will work as Bluetooth is optional. A Bluetooth-enabled speaker paired with the tablet is a good alternative. It will still work normally.
Do I have to listen to the passenger's music choices all day? Can I listen to my music?
Passenger music selections only play during their ride. You can switch back to your music in between rides by toggling your Bluetooth connection.
I just paired and installed my tablet. What’s next?
